PERFORMS RADIOHEAD'S OK COMPUTER
WITH PATTI KING (THE SHINS)
In a way, the artistic destinies of the equally unorthodox OK Computer and Portland Cello Project were meant to coincide. Their fateful intersection takes place at AMP when the Portland Cello Project presents a thrilling performance of the album Rolling Stone Magazine called a “stunning art-rock tour de force.” The all-star cellists of the Portland Cello Project, led by artistic director Douglas Jenkins, perform a version of “Karma Police” you won’t soon forget, “translating the dystopian paranoia of Thom Yorke’s lyrics and the band’s mournful, understated arrangement into an epic revelation of between-the-lines emotions” (Seattle Times).
