& Her Red Hot Bluesiana Band
Maria Muldaur is perhaps best known for her 1974, Grammy-nominated mega hit “Midnight at the Oasis.” Despite her considerable pop music success, her 50-year career could best be described as an odyssey through American roots music with over 40 albums that span in style from gospel and R&B to jazz and big band. But for the past decade, Muldaur has focused on what she affectionately calls “Bluesiana Music”—a contemporary, electric take on the blues that is full of New Orleans-flavored swamp funk and a heavy dose of R&B.
