Gina Chavez is a global sensation. From Venezuela to Saudi Arabia, audiences around the world have been moved by her passionate blend of bilingual folk-pop. Chavez and her globetrotting band have performed in 8 different countries, touring internationally as cultural ambassadors with the US State Department. A true critical darling, Chavez is a multi-award winner who has garnered attention by multiple national publications including NPR, The Boston Globe, and USA Today. In 2014, her song “Siete-D,” written about her experience volunteering in gang-torn San Salvador, won the John Lennon Songwriting Contest Grand Prize. An artist and an advocate, Chavez is also the proud founder of Niñas Arriba, a college fund for young Latinas in Venezuela.
