The Gibson Brothers
Following in the footsteps of legendary brother acts like the Stanley Brothers, Jim & Jesse, and the Osborne Brothers, The Gibson Brothers’ bluegrass is a stirring mix of heritage and harmony. The duo’s latest effort, 2017’s In the Ground sees them move away from their earlier albums of covers with their first album of entirely original songs. The album’s themes are anchored in their childhood and upstate New York, the region in which they were raised, in a reflection on the past that is relatable and truly moving. With two International Bluegrass Music Association Entertainer of the Year awards, The Gibson Brothers take music that is traditional and make it revelatory, lighthearted, and profound for all.
