& The Turnaround
Finding his feet in the fertile New York City music scene of the 1970s, world-class trumpeter Charlie Sepulveda is one of the most pivotal figures in Latin jazz music. With a Latin Grammy and Billboard Award to his name, Sepulveda is a master of the genre, blending Afro-Carribbean, Avant-Garde, and Latin jazz into a smooth and exciting combination that invites listeners in and holds their attention. Receiving praise for his “artistic maturity and deep reflection” (Latin Jazz Corner), Sepulveda learned from the best, cutting his teeth with Eddie Palmieri, Dizzy Gillespie, and Wynton Marsalis, and he is joined by his ensemble, The Turnaround for a night of warm, swinging jazz.
