Albert Cummings is a guy who’s good with his hands. Owner of a construction business by day, by night he’s a blues guitarist who gigs with the likes of Buddy Guy, Sheryl Crow, the Neville Brothers, and the late B.B. King. His style is described as “guitar pyrotechnics that calls to mind a grand mix of the styles of past masters like Albert King, Freddie King, Stevie Ray Vaughan and Jimi Hendrix” (Bluesprint). That reputation earned him backing by the late Stevie Ray Vaughan’s band, Double Trouble, and his career in music took off.
His latest record, Someone Like You, showcases his characteristically explosive and soulful approach to blues and rock.
